This is an odd thread.


Revenue from football ticket sales goes to VT. Revenue from basketball ticket sales goes to VT. Baseball ticket revenue wouldn't be any different, for any reason.

But I agree, the $10 is worth it. From the interview with Whit that ran last week:

TSL: Do you think you underpriced the (baseball stadium) tables? I almost bought one.

WB: Probably. But baseball is not a revenue generator that way. We really were flying a little bit blind. The suites were $12,500 and the tables were $1,000. We were trying to do right and make it affordable. We didn’t want to turn people off by going too high.

Will here again: The statement "baseball is not a revenue generator that way" tells you how Whit views baseball. He wants to get people in the stands, not try to make a bucket of money (that said, VT's ticket prices are similar to the rest of the conference -- he's speaking specifically about luxury suites and the reserved tables on the right field line).
