A little too far up on N. Broad Street for my taste.....


one very tough town. Back when cars had hub caps, they'd steal them off moving cars.

I remember having class with a Tech running back from Mt Lebanon, PA (Pittsburgh area).
He related being recruited by Temple. The coach hosting him and others, left them out adjacent to the Student Center. No sooner than they had gotten out of the car, they were mugged but were saved by a passing Philadelphia Police Cruiser passing by. He decided Blacksburg was the place for him. Probably during the days that Rizzo was Police Commissioner. Philly is a tough place.
