Ok, here goes - from a basketball perspective -- Use Nova as the "goal"

One team was able to stay on the court with Nova - WVU. Kansas and Michigan both boast NBA big men and got their doors kicked in. I am going to highlight any player that averages 20+ mins for each team:

Villanova: Brunson (6'3"), Bridges (6'6"), DeVincenzo (6'5"), Spellman (6'9"), Paschall (6'9"), Booth (6'3") -- Nova plays 2 bigs, both 6'9", neither true centers. They don't go overly big on the wings and at guard.

WVU: Carter (6'2") Miles Jr (6'3"), Konate (6'8"), Ahmed (6'8"), West (6'8"), Harris (6'8") -- WVU has (4) 6'8" players that all contribute significant minutes. The next 3 contributes are all less than 6'5" and their starting guards who play a ton of minutes are 6'2" and 6'3"

Virginia Tech: J-Rob (6'2"), Bibbs (6'5", Blackshear (6'10"), NAW (6'5"), Hill (6'5"), Clarke (6'6") - I still maintain we could have given Nova some trouble. The design of our roster is not a problem. Sy doing weird things in August was our problem combined with Blackshear's foul habbits. KBJr fouling the way he does wouldn't have been as exposed had Sy been eligible (which he was 2nd semester but Buzz elected to redshirt him).

Kansas and Michigan had legit NBA big men. Kansas and Michigan got taken to the wood work by Nova. WVU gave Nova all they could handle sans 1 5 min spell in the 2nd half. CC has commented on lateral quickness and girth. I rooted for a St. John's team in 2002 that was a 2 seed and had a 6'5" Center that could play defensive end (size wise) - was very wide. That St. John's team was great and got picked apart by an Eric Barkley scandal late in the year that year.

This obsession with height is misguided. We have Blackshear and Sy - 2 legit 6'10" Post players. We've got length at wing with Outlaw, CC and NAW. Height isn't an issue for us right now.
