The 2nd game showed what kind of coaches and team we have--coaches who outcoached one of the best college BB coaches in the country in a tight game at their place, and tough players who scrap and claw and fight for everything they can get (gutty bunch in a tough tight game, at opponents home where they very rarely lose). And, tonight with a great result. Casey was unhittable in the first game tonight--93+ mph FB, with excellent breaking pitch, and with excellent location. He would probably have done the same thing to every ACC Team tonight. Did you see what Conner Coward did to the top ACC Team and one of the best in the country last week? Same thing. Conner did not have his best stuff in the first game (struggled with location), but he is an excellent top line ACC pitcher and will be good to great the rest of the way. I am proud of our Team and how they handle themselves, and will be there again on Sunday to cheer them on to another victory. Stay positive. This team will be fine the rest of the 2018 campaign and there are great things ahead in our future. See you at English Field (if not at UVA tomorrow) next weekend.
