TV Teddy is rated pretty high, but

his mechanics are bad. He makes calls that aren't his to make. This seems to be driven by his need for attention. He'll be on the baseline, and make calls on the point guard at mid court. He'll be at midcourt, and make calls on the baseline. Mechanically, that's not good. Maybe that's why, after the ACC Tourney, he was told he would not be officiating any NCAA games. His high rating is a rating based on his fellow officials. That doesn't mean he's good, just better than his compatriots. Which doesn't speak well for his fellow officials.
