I don't think the pool is necessarily smaller.

It is the end game, NBA vs. WNBA. Guys will spread out, so as to be seen. The gals will concentrate, so as to win, because most stay all 4 and want to be happy. Winning is happiness.

Look at a couple guys this year, Porter to Mizzou, Bamba to Texas. Neither a basketball powerhouse, just solid programs, but mega exposure to showcase for the end game, the NBA.

The WNBA will take UConn's #6 player, the NBA probably wouldn't notice a #6 at Kentucky, unless they stuck for a while.
