My annoyance with the whole "one and done" thing

is yeah, these guys go pro, but how many actually have a solid career? Duke may have 5 players in the top 25 but that does not mean any of them will have a great pro career, or are even remotely ready to go pro. A lot of them can do it based on sheer potential, athleticism, and strength. A lot of guys who go pro are not necessarily the most skilled players, as you would have with a 3-4 year player who may never see a day in the NBA. There's a big difference between talent and skill.

So having a squad of projected NBA players does not mean you are going to automatically go to the Final Four every year. It makes fans raise the standard high and makes anything less than a championship a disappointment, but in reality, it is hard to get to the Final Four no matter who you are.

I also 100 percent believe that Coach K would be just as happy with having 3-4 year players but he coaches at Duke and it is not his fault that the top players in the country want to play for his program, and that the game has changed where these players only view it as a pit stop to go pro and make millions.
