I think he will

A little late responding here, but I think it's more likely that he will be back (and very good again) rather than quitting the sport. I don't have any inside info on that except knowing that he never gave up trying this year - despite not performing anywhere near his standard - and he stayed very committed to and supportive of his teammates. As hard as it must have been for him to lose his starting spot, he still attended the ACC and NCAA tournaments and vocally supported all of his teammates. That says a lot.

I hope he gets everything figured out in his mind, and heals his leg, so that he can come back with a passion again for his senior year. I think he will.
