Speaking of the hoovers, i found this gem in yesterday's Roanoke Times:


Letter: UVA was not humiliated

The front page headline for UVA's loss was "HUMILIATED"....I assure we are not that! There is nothing about this team that deserves humiliation.

We need to celebrate this team for their accomplishments and exceeding all expectations. Tony Bennett and his players are an example of what collegiate sports should represent! They won the ACC season and tournament handily. Any team can have a bad night, and we should remind ourselves that these are young men playing their hearts out. They represent UVA in an exemplary way and in a manner we can all be proud. Why not acknowledge their accomplishments rather than jump on the "humiliated" band wagon..they deserve better!

Congratulations to UMBC, they deserved the win!
