How did that team ever win that many games?

I took a look at the roster, and I just don't see it. Other than Ichiro batting .350 and Bret Boone with 37 HR, there really wasn't any standout players on the roster. Carlos Guillen? David Bell? John Olerud? I'll give you Edgar Martinez at DH, but he was in his last few years. Pitching was decent, with three pitchers under 4 ERA, but that's not that amazing, is it?

I just don't get how a team was that dominant without truly dominant players.
