Very good idea - I should have thought to check this out.


I believe I had our previous router set to a different channel to avoid this, but when we switched to FiOS, the installer set up the router and I don't think I have ever looked at what channel it broadcasts on. I do know that I can see multiple neighbor's WiFi networks from my house, so there is a good chance that noise is at least part of my problem.

I've also been trying to set up an old router as a WiFi access point to improve coverage throughout our house, but so far I have failed at getting the settings correct. I'll keep fiddling with that.
