Charlotte is indeed

The only city that national media are likely to know between Atlanta and DC. It has a major airport which a lot of ESPN folk fly into when they work games in Blacksburg as well as a lot of visiting teams. It is also considered to be the epicenter of the ACC conference and a lot of people across the country will reference the location of Blacksburg relative to Charlotte.
