You can't blame Swofford

Swofford doesn't have the authority to add schools. Only the presidents do. He can make recommendations but if the presidents tell him to get a school, that's what he has to do.

I don't think the ACC contract is the issue. NCAA rules say that since the ACC is NDs primary conference and the ACC sponsors football, ND has 2 options for football: ACC or independent. If ND wanted to put football in the B12, they would have to move the other sports to the B12 or a non-football conference.
