Bracketology has us a 9 seed right now, facing Missouri. Ugh. In reality, the loss to ND didn't change anything. We were already going to be in that game anyway, but as the 8 seed.
We really had a chance to get a higher seed (maybe 7 or 6), but blew it by losing to Miami on the road in that final ACC regular season game. This loss to ND, while deflating in the immediate, means nothing in the big picture. Let's be honest: we would have gotten killed by Duke today anyway (ND will soon receive that unpleasant honor), but now we get an extra day to rest/practice for the NCAAs.
The goal all along was to make the Tourney, win a game in round 1, maybe pull a big upset to make the Sweet 16. That's probably a stretch, but in my mind we actually have a better shot at it if we fall to that #10 seed. Will be interesting to see where we land on Sunday....
