Virginia Tech Football Spring Game Set For April 16

(Ivan Morozov)

On Tuesday, Virginia Tech announced that the football program’s 2022 spring game will be on Saturday, April 16 in Lane Stadium.

The spring game will be the first opportunity for fans to see the team in action under new head coach Brent Pry and his staff. The event will be televised on the ACC Network, though details on the time will be announced at a further date.

Four transfers are enrolled in spring semester classes at Tech. That group is made up of two quarterbacks (Jason Brown, Grant Wells) and two wide receivers (Stephen Gosnell, Jadan Blue). In addition, a large portion of the Hokies’ 2022 signing class has enrolled early and will see their first action in a Tech uniform in the spring game. The February edition of National Signing Day is on Wednesday, Feb. 2.

The spring game will be one of many events taking place in Blacksburg throughout Easter weekend.

Virginia Tech baseball and softball both have a three-game ACC series – baseball vs. Miami, softball vs. Virginia – while men’s tennis hosts Boston College that Friday, April 15. The annual 3.2 for 32 Run in Remembrance will also be Saturday, April 16 after being virtual in 2021.

    1. I am sure that they will be respectful of those that were lost based upon the work of JC Price as the interim HC. This does not seem like a staff and support team that will miss the little things that make a big difference with the fans.

    2. It’s not the first time this has happened. I’m remember running the 3.2 in the morning and then heading over to the stadium for “game.”
