Virginia Tech Guard Jonathan Kabongo Reports He’s Out for the Season

Virginia Tech guard Jonathan Kabongo has reported on Instagram that he’ll miss the 2019-2020 season with an undisclosed injury.

A rising true sophomore, Kabongo played 102 minutes in 21 games last season. He averaged 1.5 points per game while shooting 39.3 percent from the field and 31.8 percent from the three-point line. His season high was six points two times, against Maryland-Eastern Shore and at Pittsburgh.

Virginia Tech basketball head coach Mike Young had no comment on the injury. Virginia Tech is scheduled to start the season November 5th at Clemson, though the full basketball schedule has not yet been released.
