Virginia Tech Basketball Hosting Watch Party on Selection Sunday

With Virginia Tech basketball on the cusp of securing a second-straight NCAA Tournament berth, the Hokies are inviting fans to celebrate with them on Selection Sunday.

Virginia Tech is inviting fans to Cassell Coliseum to be a part of a celebration of Tech’s likely NCAA Tournament appearance, which will be announced around 6 p.m. on TBS. The event is free to all, and parking is free as well. Doors will open for the event at 5 p.m., with the event starting at 5:30 p.m. The selection show will start at 6 p.m., and a special edition of Tech Talk Live will start at 6:30 p.m.

The Hokies are expected to received an at-large bid into this year’s NCAA Tournament, giving Virginia Tech its second-straight appearance in the tournament for the first time since the 1985 and 1986 seasons.

Virginia Tech will first play in the ACC Tournament, where they are the No. 7 seed. The Hokies will play the winner of No. 10 Notre Dame vs. No. 15 Pittsburgh in the second round on Wed., March 7 at 7 p.m. The game will be broadcast on ESPN2 or the ACC Network.
