The Hokie Club’s “Drive for 25” initiative continues, and this week, they launched a new wrinkle: “paint the state” competitions that pit similar states against each other in a competition to add new members.

First up: North Carolina vs. South Carolina.

The first competition between the states of North Carolina and South Carolina launched on Friday, September 1, and continues through Thursday, September 7.  Similar competitions will follow each week. As the tweet says, whichever state increases its Hokie Club membership by the highest percentage will win, and each week, two more states will be pitted against each other.

Our next “Drive for 25 Update” article will include more detail on how many members the Hokie Club is trying to sign up in each state, and the reasoning behind the goals for each state. Until then, have fun tracking these state-vs-state competitions, and we’ll keep you up to date.
