Virginia Tech Football Offers Blacksburg Running Back Cole Beck

Virginia Tech recruiting Cole Beck
Cole Beck finally received a scholarship offer from Virginia Tech on Saturday.

Blacksburg High School running back Coleton Beck has garnered a lot of attention among Group of 5 schools and Power 5 programs this spring and summer, but Beck never received an offer from the Hokies. That is, until Saturday.

Late Saturday night, the speedy tailback reported that Virginia Tech pulled the trigger and offered him a scholarship.

Beck is a 6-foot-1, 185-pound back who is rated as a 3-star recruit by 247Sports and Rivals. Beck stars for Blacksburg High School, just minutes away from Virginia Tech and Lane Stadium. He currently holds 27 scholarship offers, seven of which are from Power 5 schools.

  1. We must have been waiting on a potential dark horse signing…maybe Henry told us nope or another RB we were quietly recruiting said No…

I am glad we offered Mr Beck and hope he comes aboard…but he did not suddenly get faster…or get get great hands and lateral shiftiness…

    GO HOKIES!

  2. Sounds good to me. The more ‘speed’ the better. Cole should definitely fit in with the special teams crowd and who knows were the young man may show up on game day.
It seems to me that this coaching staff knows what they are doing when it comes to RECRUITING !!!
