Virginia Tech junior cornerback Kendall Fuller will declare for the NFL Draft. Andy Bitter of the Roanoke Times confirmed the rumor by speaking to Fuller’s mother, Nina Dorsey-Fuller.
Fuller played in just three games as a junior before undergoing season-ending knee surgery. He finished his career with eight TFL, 3.5 sacks, eight interceptions and 27 passes broken up. He also forced two fumbles, and recovered two more.
When healthy, Fuller was one of the best cover corners in Virginia Tech history, as was his brother Kyle before him. Kyle was a first round pick (#14 overall) of the Chicago Bears in 2014. Most sites list Kendall as a mid-second round pick, though one site also had him as a third round selection…
CBS: #46 prospect overall, Second Round grade
DraftSite.com: #46 pick in the draft
DraftTek.com: Third Round, #91 overall
WalterFootball.com: Second Round, #44 overall
I’ll be Honest, He had an up and down career at Tech. All kinds of Pub coming in, but due to Injuries and such, a huge Letdown for Us. Give Me a Macho Harris Anyday!
Can’t say no to that money, but I think he’ll go 40 spots lower than if he stayed for a strong senior year. Then again, blow out a knee and you might not get drafted. Good luck and do the Hokies proud.
seahawks can use a corner on the other side of richard sherman…i would be very thrilled if that happens…
Second that!
Third!
Very Talented and was looking forward to seeing back at Tech next season.
You’d think he’d stick around a year more after not being healthy this year.
Given how little he played this year and the crop of CBs it doesn’t seem to be a wise move
too bad he got hurt. He could have been a top 5 pick. He and his brothers need to start popping out some kids so we can keep the team stocked with Fullers!
Indeed. Vinnie is plenty old enough already.
