Taylor, who has been listed anywhere from 6’3″ to 6’4″ and weighs about 230 pounds, becomes the first defensive end prospect to commit to the Hokies in the class of 2016.

In addition to Virginia Tech, Taylor held offers from Duke, Michigan, North Carolina, NC State, South Carolina and Tennessee. 247Sports, Rivals, ESPN and Scout all rank the promising prospect on the 3-star level. As a junior last season, Taylor amassed 71 tackles including 15.5 sacks.

  1. Wish he was a year earlier, and he was on campus now for preseason. Boy looks like a man. Very good pick up.

  2. Welcome aboard Mr. Taylor! The Hokie Nation welcomes you with arms wide open……….we love you man!!!!! GO HOKIES!!!!!!

  3. Nice get! This kid looks like another prototypical VT 4-3 defensive end. Nice first step, seems to play in the opponent’s backfield every play. If he’s already 230, he could show up in Blacksburg at about 260 or 270 and really do some damage.
