More VT 2015 Class Recruits Arrive In Blacksburg

Seven true freshmen — Adonis Alexander, Xavier Burke, Austin Clark, Carson Lydon, Yosuah Nijman, Mook Reynolds and Tyrell Smith — enrolled at Virginia Tech in January of 2015. Most of the rest of Virginia Tech football’s 2015 Class arrived in Blacksburg over the weekend.

We know two 2015 Class signees who won’t be enrolling at Tech anytime soon. Indianapolis natives Eric Whitehead and Adonis Williamson, who signed letters of intent with Tech football in February, did not gain admission and are headed the junior college route. Whitehead signed with Nassau CC in Garden City (N.Y.), while Williamson has confirmed to TSL that he is headed to ASA College in Brooklyn (N.Y.).

As for the rest of Tech’s 2015 Class, Salem (VA) offensive line prospect Zachariah Hoyt signed with the Hokies this past February but will delay enrollment until January of 2016. Stonewall Jackson (Manassas, VA) 4-star defensive tackle Tim Settle is working towards enrolling this summer, but final word on his situation isn’t expected until next month. We are unsure of the status of Winter Haven (FL) offensive lineman Mike Arnold and Ocean Lakes (Virginia Beach, VA) graduate Jahque Alleyne, but at this point the plan was for them to enroll this summer as well.

Chris Cunningham (TE), Tremaine Edmunds (LB), Coleman Fox (WR), Darius Fullwood (DE), Houshun Gaines (DE), Trevon Hill (DE), DuWayne Johnson (CB), Dwayne Lawson (QB), Harry Lewis (DT), Deshawn McClease (TB) and D’Andre Plantin (OL) are now officially Hokies. Some took to Twitter this past weekend to express their excitement.

Below are tweets from (in order) Edmunds, Fox, Fullwood, Hill, Lewis, Plantin and Johnson.
