Cheyton Pine and Patrick Jones II received some good news from Virginia Tech today, and they took to Twitter to share it.

Pine, a 6’4″, 220-pound rising senior outside linebacker out of Lafayette (Williamsburg, VA) added Virginia Tech to his list of scholarship offers, which also includes California, North Carolina, NC State, Pittsburgh, Syracuse and Virginia, among others.

Jones, who measured in at 6’4.5″, 223 pounds at The Opening in Washington (D.C.), is a rising senior defensive end/outside linebacker out of Grassfield High School in Chesapeake (VA). Duke, NC State, Virginia and Wake Forest are among the other schools that have offered the Grizzlies standout, a teammate and classmate of football/track star Grant Holloway. Holloway also has an offer from the Hokies.
A second-team all-conference selection at defensive end last season, Jones ran a 4.58-second 20-yard shuttle and posted a 33.7-inch vertical leap at The Opening. Click here to view his junior season highlights.
