Hokies, West Virginia to meet on diamond (link)

WVU athletic director Oliver Luck says the Mountaineers and Hokies will play one game at Princeton's Hunnicutt Field on May 6.

Hunnicutt Field is home of the Tampa Bay Rays' Class A affiliate.

I don't see confirmation on Hokiesports, but WDBJ is reporting it.

Kinda disappointing that they are playing this in Princeton. Beckley and Bluefield both have excellent stadiums (Beckley being turf) and are still close to Blacksburg. Princeton's stadium is ok - but not near as nice as the other two. Being from Bluefield, I will attend the game - but WVU missed on this one. They have been trying to draw attention to the baseball team so I see why they chose to do this.

BTW - VT/WVU used to play in Mitchell Stadium, Bluefield's football stadium.
