With Miami and Clemson both ranked inside the top four, if both were to make the playoff, it could open up a spot for Virginia Tech in the Orange Bowl.
#Hokies return to @CFBPlayoff rankings at No. 25. So if Clemson & Miami make CFP, and if Tech beats #UVa, Tech would be positioned to rep #ACC in Orange Bowl. #longshot

Of course, Virginia Tech needs to get by their in-state rival, Virginia, this week. The Hokies will travel to Charlottesville to take on the ‘Hoos on Friday at 8 p.m. The game is being televised on ESPN.
