Virginia Tech announced that the game against North Carolina this Saturday, Oct. 21 is sold out:

This marks Virginia Tech’s third straight home sellout, including the Old Dominion and Clemson games this season. (The season home opener against Delaware did not sell out.)
The Hokies sold out every home game from the 1998 Virginia game through the 2012 season, but the sellout streak ended with the 2013 season home opener against Western Carolina. Since then, Virginia Tech has sold out seven games (attendance 65,632), including three against North Carolina:
- 2013 North Carolina
- 2015 Ohio State
- 2015 North Carolina
- 2016 Georgia Tech
- 2017 ODU
- 2017 Clemson
- 2017 North Carolina
Game time is set for 3:30, and the game will be televised on ESPN2.
