Virginia Tech quarterback commit Quincy Patterson is slowly becoming more and more known throughout the country, and that process continued on Monday. Patterson was named to the Elite 11, a group of 11 quarterbacks who are invited to Nike’s The Opening on Oregon.

The other quarterbacks named to the Elite 11 are Clemson commit Trevor Lawrence, Penn State commit Justin Fields, Tanner McKee, Utah commit Jack Tuttle, NC State commit Devin Leary, Tyler Shough, Washington State commit Cammon Cooper, Kentucky commit Jarren Williams, USC commit Matt Corral, Justin Rogers and UCLA commit Dorian Thompson-Robinson.

The Opening will begin on June 28 and end on July 3. Patterson is currently rated as a 3-star recruit by Rivals, 247Sports and Scout, but will likely get a boost in the coming weeks.
