Our hot takes:
- This is a matchup of the Hokies’ offense versus the Crimson Tide’s defense, but the stats don’t show that Virginia Tech has improved defensively in the last month or so, as Buzz Williams has changed tactics.
- Alabama’s free throw defense is outstanding.
- That last bullet point was a joke, folks.
- The Hokies have a much higher winning percentage in close games than the Tide, and this game could be a close one.
