Virginia Tech point guard Justin Robinson was named second-team All-ACC as announced by the league on Sunday. Robinson was the sole Hokie to land on any All-ACC teams. Chris Clarke finished second to Virginia’s De’Andre Hunter in voting for Sixth Man of the Year. Devin Wilson finished fourth in voting for Defensive Player of the Year, but did not make the five-man All-Defensive team.

In 13 non-conference games, Robinson, a 6-2 junior, averaged 10.5 points, 5.7 assists, 2.9 rebounds, and 2.3 turnovers. But in 18 ACC games, he increased his scoring average to a team-high 16.2 points, and averaged 5.4 assists, 2.7 rebounds, and 2.7 turnovers. Robinson shot 39.2 percent from three-point range for the season (36.6 percent in conference play).

  1. Did Devin not get on the team because of his limited playing time at the beginning of the season?

  2. Congrats Justin. Can’t wait to see what the rest of the season holds and next year.
