The ACC announced home and away opponents for all 15 ACC teams for the 2017-2018 season, and it looks like Virginia Tech men’s basketball caught a break with their road games.
Here are Virginia Tech’s conference opponents for home and road games…
Home and Road: Miami, Virginia, Duke and Louisville
Home: Florida State, Clemson, North Carolina, NC State and Pittsburgh
Road: Georgia Tech, Wake Forest, Boston College, Syracuse and Notre Dame
Virginia Tech has some very winnable road games next year, as the Hokies went 5-2 Georgia Tech, Wake Forest, Boston College, Syracuse and Notre Dame last season. Tech also travels to Miami, Virginia, Duke and Louisville next year, and went 3-3 vs. those teams last season.
In turn, the Hokies will have to host two teams they struggled against last season — Florida State and North Carolina. The Tar Heels won a national championship last season, and waxed the Hokies in Chapel Hill 91-72 last year. The Seminoles also had their way with Virginia Tech, winning both meetings last year.
We have updated our Future Basketball Schedules Page with this information.
Ah, let me guess: Duke at home before the students get back from Xmas break?
You sir have found the flaw.
