Virginia Tech and Brent Pry added a commitment from Nathaniel Wright on Thursday.

A 6-foot-5, 275-pound offensive lineman from Woodbridge, Va., he’s the 11th commitment in the Hokies’ 2025 class. He’s one of eight pledges from the Commonwealth and is the second commit from Northern Virginia, joining defensive tackle Christian Evans (Ashburn).

Wright is a three-star prospect and is the No. 34 player in the state, according to the 247Sports composite rankings. Rivals and On3 have him at No. 32 while 247Sports lists him 38th.

The Hokies were Wright’s lone official visit on June 21, and he committed soon after. Pitt and William & Mary were two of his other top schools. He held other offers from Buffalo, UConn, Duke, East Carolina, James Madison, Kent State, Liberty, Old Dominion and Wake Forest.

Of Tech’s 11 commits in the class of 2025, Wright is the fifth on the offensive side of the ball and the second lineman, joining Carter Stallard (Christiansburg). Wide receiver Jayden Anderson and quarterbacks Kelden Ryan and AJ Brand are the others.

    1. I’m impressed a17 year old kid has that many offers. Tech wanted him-they must believe they have something they can work with.

Good get for the good guys
