Sheldon Robinson Commits To Virginia Tech

Sheldon Robinson
Safety, Class of 2025
Woodberry Forest, Woodberry Forest, VA
6-2, 185

Virginia Tech picked up a commitment on Sunday from Woodberry Forest (VA) safety Sheldon Robinson. He is the sixth commitment of the 2025 recruiting class, and the fifth from the state of Virginia.

Robinson took his official visit to Blacksburg over the weekend. He had previously visited Vanderbilt, and he also had future visits scheduled to Duke and UVA. 247Sports also lists Robinson with offers from West Virginia, Georgia Tech, Wake Forest, Pitt, Northwestern, Michigan State and Maryland.

At 6-2, 185, Robinson is ranked No. 16 in the state by 247, though he does not have a ranking at this stage from any of the other recruiting services. Right now he projects as a safety for the Hokies, though he also has the frame to play star linebacker, and he does have experience playing in a similar role at times in high school.

Robinson had 60 tackles and six interceptions as a junior at Woodberry Forest.

  1. I like the looks of this kid. It’s one thing to blow up the ball carrier/receiver when he’s turned looking for the ball. It’s quite another to make the tackle when the ball carrier is facing you and has the ability to juke you. Good looking recruit.

  2. Welcome aboard. I like his highlights BUT highlights usually look good. Athletic.net shows him running 11 seconds in the 100 meter dash and that’s good speed for football.

  3. I went to Woodberry….normally the good player went to UVA or Duke ….glad to see a change 🍺
