Misun Kelley Commits To Virginia Tech

Misun Kelley
Cornerback, Class of 2023
DW Daniel, Central, SC
5-10, 170

Virginia Tech picked up a commitment from Misun Kelley, a 2023 cornerback from Central, SC, on Tuesday afternoon. He is the 19th commitment of the 2023 recruiting class, which has turned into a very DB-heavy class.

Kelley is the cousin of 2023 Virginia Tech commit Thomas Williams, also of South Carolina. He is projected to play cornerback for the Hokies after picking Tech over offers from Louisville and a number of Group of Five schools such as East Carolina, Marshall, Appalachian State, Marshall, Old Dominion and others. 247 ranks him as the No. 9 prospect in the state of South Carolina.

Virginia Tech has many other prospects who can play defensive back in this class, including Krystian Williams, Dante Lovett, Cameren Fleming, Braylon Johnson and Thomas Williams. With that many DBs scheduled to sign and a number of young players at that spot currently in the program, it’s likely that the Hokies are now done with recruiting defensive backs for the 2023 recruiting class.

        1. What is 4 or 5 Star? Are there any in Va? At the Ohio State game there were 10 uncommitted 5 star recruits. Beamer did not recruit well last 3/4 years, Fuente did not recruit Va period, and the better players he did recruit entered the transfer portal? Coach Pry inherited a cubbard that was bare. It is going to take time for him to get the players he needs to turn our program around. I believe he can do it.
