Last weekend, Buford (Ga.) three-star quarterback Dylan Wittke took in another spring visit, to Virginia Tech. Earlier in the week, the Hokies offered a scholarship, joining a list that now includes 19 offers in total.

The visit to Blacksburg for Wittke was one of a handful he’s made this spring with his parents, but it won’t be the last. Wittke, Rivals.com’s No. 67 player in Georgia for 2023, has another set this weekend to Arkansas State and could see a pair of SEC schools in the next few weeks. Meanwhile, he’s still trying to keep to a loose timeline he’s set for himself in moving towards a commitment next month.

“I’ll probably set a timetable after talking to schools,” Wittke said. “I’m focusing more mentally on everything in front of me. Being at Buford, which is a big school, with a lot of stuff on my plate, I’m trying to focus on my team, building them up. I want this process to come to an end, so I can focus on my team itself. So, it’s really just the mental aspect right now.”
