Virginia Tech Junior Day, Part 1: Offensive Prospects

Virginia Tech hosted the first Junior Day of the Brent Pry era over the weekend. It wasn’t quite as big as it normally may have been, and everyone had to go home early because of the impending winter weather, but the Hokies hosted a handful of prospects – some with offers and some without – and it’s time to break down who visited.

Today we’ll do the offensive side of the ball, and tomorrow we’ll do the defense. Thanks to TSL Poster QCP for putting together a list on the recruiting board and saving me the trouble, though I did check each recruit’s social media account to make sure QCP was accurate.

Tech didn’t seem to host recruits at every offensive position over the weekend. As far as I know, there were no quarterbacks in attendance. However, there were lots of wide receivers on hand, a few offensive linemen, as well as a couple of in-state running backs.

Most of the recruits were from the state of Virginia. I’m not sure if that was intended, or if it’s because the impending weather made travel difficult for those recruits who are from regions further away. There will be another Junior Day on January 29, and I would expect to see more out-of-state recruits in town for that weekend, weather pending.
