  1. Great podcast as usual, guys. I’m surprised at why so many guys on this podcast are trying to figure out why so many players are underweight and underdeveloped. I’ve said probably from year 3 on that Hilgart was a pretty bad coach. I’m not sure why so many guys here are forgetting that the S&C coach is responsible for player physical development and weight gain. Instead we have a guy who emphasizes speed and weight loss as an effective P5 weight training philosophy instead of training player to get bigger and stronger. Whatever happens to Fu at season’s end, it must include getting rid of Hilgart too.

  2. Regarding Black uniforms…our original school colors were silver and black. We are crazy to not use those as our alternate uniform colors. Silver and black VT uniforms would be EPIC!

    1. the combo we used saturday vs Syracuse should be worn for every single home game. period. and those helmets should be worn home and away always.

      1. I graduated in ‘01. Those are by far my favorite uniforms. I’ve never liked any combo as much as those.

I also like the all white away uniforms we wore back then.

        1. White on white was Beamer favorite. Biggest mistake he mad3 was letting seniors decide uniforms late in his tenure

    2. Ugh! I understand the desire to be different. Our colors have been maroon and orange for about 100 years.
      Additionally, the uniforms Saturday are/were…..in a word…..PERFECT!
We aren’t Oregon. Get back to business and play hard
