Like his teammate, Alcoa (TN) 2023 lineman Lance Williams had been to Virginia Tech previously. But his visit Friday for the Hokies’ win over North Carolina may have especially opened his eyes.

Williams was on hand Friday with his teammate, Rivals250 offensive lineman Tyler Jeffries. It’s the first of what Williams hopes are many game visits this fall that will help him in the process of choosing where he’ll attend college. Williams said that decision is likely far off, but visits like the one he took to Virginia Tech have offered more perspective.

Williams, Rivals.com’s No. 19 guard in the 2023 class, said he previously camped with the Hokies in June. Seeing the game atmosphere, however, gave more of a glimpse.
