Virginia Tech picked up a commitment from Archbishop Spalding (Severn, MD) defensive back Mansoor Delane on Wednesday. He could play cornerback or one of the safety positions for the Hokies. He is the 21st commitment of Virginia Tech’s 2022 recruiting class.
Delane is ranked as a 3-star prospect and the No. 15 player in the state of Maryland by 247Sports. He was considered a Maryland lean until recently, when several recent visits to Blacksburg caused him to postpone his original decision date before announcing for the Hokies.
Besides Maryland and Tech, he is also listed with Power 5 offers from Minnesota, Illinois, Boston College, Louisville, Vanderbilt and UVA.
