This Monday’s TSL Podcast mostly centered around recruiting, and lots of it was numbers-based. It was probably difficult to keep up with watching or listening, so today’s article will be a companion piece for that podcast for TSL Pass subscribers. We won’t get into every single thing that we covered on the podcast, but we’ll touch on the main points, plus add some info that we didn’t talk about on Monday.
We touched on a lot of numbers, such as average ratings, national and ACC recruiting rankings, number of 4-star players signed, etc. The following table contains the key numbers that we discussed.
Year | Commits | Ave. Rank | Nat. Rank | ACC Rank | 4-stars |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
2022 | 18 | 86.23 | 15 | 3 | 1 |
2021 | 28 | 85.12 | 43 | 10 | 1 |
2020 | 16 | 84.98 | 76 | 14 | 1 |
2019 | 24 | 87.39 | 26 | 3 | 7 |
2018 | 26 | 87.46 | 24 | 5 | 7 |
2017 | 26 | 86.13 | 26 | 4 | 5 |
*Note: the table was compiled by Will Stewart using the 247 Composite rankings. 2022 recruit Xavier Simmons is a 4-star recruit by 247 and ESPN, but only a 3-star by Rivals, and thus is only a 3-star by the Composite rankings.
Using that table as a guide, let’s touch on some of the points that were brought up during Monday’s podcast.
