Defensive End, Class of 2022
King’s Fork High School, Suffolk, VA
In-state defensive end Kyree Moyston (King’s Fork, Suffolk, VA) made a verbal commitment to Virginia Tech as part of the in-state defensive line recruiting trend that we’re seeing in the 2022 recruiting class.

The Hokies have also targeted important in-state defensive linemen such as Bryson Jennings, Rashaud Pernell and Lemar Law (VT commit).
Moyston was an early target for the Hokies, and his 6-4 frame makes him an ideal candidate for Justin Hamilton’s scheme. He is ranked the No. 27 prospect in the state of Virginia, and he chose Virginia Tech over offers from Arizona, Indiana, Michigan State and Pitt. He is the 14th overall commitment of the 2022 class, and the first defensive end.
Moyston took his visit to Blacksburg in mid-to-late June, stayed for several days, and then canceled an upcoming visit to Indiana. He attends the same high school as former Virginia Tech safety Chuck Clark.
