Law is projected to play defensive tackle for the Hokies, and is being recruited as such by defensive line coaches Bill Teerlinck and JC Price. He also plays offensive tackle for Bayside, and that could also be a possibility if the defensive line doesn’t work out.
In-person recruiting opened throughout college football on Tuesday, and Law was one of the prospects on-hand to visit the Blacksburg campus. It did not take him long to make his verbal commitment, selecting the Hokies over Maryland and UVA.
Law is the sixth commitment for Virginia Tech for the 2022 recruiting class, and the first defensive tackle. 247Sports lists him at 6-5, 280, while he lists himself as 6-6, 290 on social media. It appears that he was originally a 2023 defensive end recruit, but he gained a lot of size recently and has reclassified to 2022.
