Virginia Tech announced today that the 2021 football season opener against North Carolina will be on Friday, September 3, with the time and TV network to be determined later.
The hokiesports.com press release said that the contest “will kick off in primetime.” The press release was based on a press release from the ACC, which did not mention a time window.
The game was originally announced when the schedule was released in January as being Sept. 2 or Sept. 3. It is the first ACC conference game of the 2021 season.
