  1. We may have a spring practice. The first of the coronavirus vaccines will be out by the end of November, 2020. Millions more doses by January, 2021. There’s a good chance that all athletes, coaches, and most of the student population will be vaccinated by the spring of 2021.

On the point of firing Fuente, I just can’t believe it. He’s brought an offense with a pulse to the Virginia Tech football program. Even though he started out pretty strong in his first season, I think he’s still learning the nuances of just winning games. He’s playing a stronger schedule than what Memphis played and so now he’s going against more talented coaches. I think the ACC has steadily gotten much stronger as a football conference since Va Tech first joined, so its harder to win now. As for the losses this year, Miami, North Carolina, Wake Forest, and Liberty, all of those teams are going to a bowl. Granted, probably should have beaten both Miami and Liberty since we had a late lead in both of those games, but both of those teams are having a magical season. As for Justin Hamilton in his first season as a DC, you would expect a drop-off from the legendary Bud Foster, but I think the Miami game has shown that things are coming around for him and its shown that there are things to work on. I think this coaching staff is going to learn some lessons from this season and will apply them to the future.

  2. Chris, re Cornelson ability to develop QBs,
Evans left after one year. Right?

Jackson broke his leg in 3rd game vs ODU after pretty good games vs FSU, W&M.

    Willis is Willis

And you’ve talked about Hooker not having Spring ball.

Just tamp the brakes a little. Not saying you’re wrong, but we have a full sample size of ONE, Willis.
