Tennessee High, Bristol, TN
6-3, 202

Virginia Tech picked up a commitment from 2021 athlete Jaden Keller on Thursday afternoon.  Keller is from Bristol, TN, and he’s expected to play linebacker for the Hokies.

Keller is a 3-star recruit and is ranked as the No. 17 player in the state of Tennessee by 247Sports.  He chose the Hokies over Tennessee, Vanderbilt, Wake Forest, Duke, Virginia, South Carolina, and several other programs.

Listed at 6-3, 202 – but possibly bigger by now, since no camps have taken place this year – Keller is part of what appears to be a renewed Virginia Tech focus to get more athletic at both linebacker positions.  He is the 22nd commitment of the 2021 class, and the third linebacker, joining Virginia prospects Isi Etute and Keli Lawson.

  2. Dude’s a MAN. Love the attitude and athleticism.

If Jaden’s character and work ethic match his physical talents, Mr. Keller will be an impact player and a fan favorite, no doubt.

    Welcome to Hokie Nation!

  3. Kid could play both ways. Runs and catches like Herbert, but we need linebackers too. Tough call

  4. LOVE getting taller and longer LBs!! Finally! TIME folks. Just hang in a little longer and have patience Hokie Nation. You will see the D transform into a more modern D just like the O did.

  5. Love it when an East Tn kid picks Hokies over Vols. You made my day young man!! From the stone castle to Hokie Stone ….. welcome home!!

  6. Practically a home-town product. Welcome home Jaden. Can’t wait to see you with a little orange to go with that maroon.

  7. Great pickup! Welcome to Hokie Nation Jaden!

It’s good to see SWVA and East TN Div 1 prospects pick the Hokies! This really helps generate local support for VT in Vol country. James Mitchell gets great coverage from local media so I hope this continues.

    1. doesn’t look too shabby as a SR, WR, or HB (if he can block like he runs) either.
looks pretty potent on O and as a KR
