Virginia Tech picked up two in-state commitments recently, and offered another until-now unknown prospect from Virginia Beach. Today I want to talk about those three players, as well as a couple of other in-state recruiting topics.
The three recently-offered players are…
LB Keli Lawson, Sherando High School
DB Shawn Asbury II, North Stafford High School
LB Isi Etute, Cox High School
Though they play different positions, Lawson and Asbury have similar stories. Lawson missed all but the final four games of his junior season with an injury, while Asbury only played in the final six or seven games, also because of injury.
