You’ve probably never heard of the name Philip Riley. Neither had I, until the last week. He’s a 4-star cornerback from outside Tampa, and apparently he’s close to committing to Virginia Tech.
Riley has a 100% crystal ball prediction to Virginia Tech, and all of those picks have come down in the last week. It’s important to note that the recruiting services haven’t completed their rankings at this point, so while Riley is ranked the No. 20 cornerback in the country by 247, he doesn’t have a corresponding overall ranking yet. Rivals has him as a 4-star player, but they haven’t completed their rankings for Florida yet. ESPN doesn’t have him in their database as of yet.
