Under normal circumstances, Nate Kurisky has a 40-minute commute from his home in Loudon, Virginia, to his high school in Washington, DC – Gonzaga. The COVID-19 pandemic, however, has left him, like millions of other Americans, stuck at home.

Kurisky’s recruitment though has still seen a steady rise. Now with offers from Virginia Tech, Maryland, Vanderbilt, Boston College and Pittsburgh, he’s trying to get as good of a virtual look as he can at each offer. But that doesn’t make the forced time off much easier.

“Ever since we were out of school, it feels like a month,” Kurisky said. “It just feels like the days are longer, not leaving your house. We can’t do workouts at the school, but I go to a turf field and do speed stuff, lift at my house.”
