Just one month ago, Dickinson (TX) 2021 offensive lineman Canon Boone was simply hopeful of receiving a college scholarship offer. He now has four, which has him anxiously waiting to see which options will present themselves next.

Virginia Tech and Nevada most recently made Boone an offer, joining Texas-San Antonio and Dartmouth, as his recruitment continues to gain momentum. Since the beginning of the year, Boone has yet to take a visit, though that will change this weekend. Instead, Boone said he’s focused on his offseason work.

“I’m probably just getting in the weight room a lot more,” he said. “A weakness of mine has probably been strength, so I’m working on that. I play basketball now, too, so that’s helping me work on my quickness. “
