In just a week’s time, the recruiting outlook for St. Thomas (TX) 2021 athlete Cameron Bonner has completely changed. It’s not that Bonner didn’t think he’d get a college scholarship offer, but he definitely didn’t think it would come this quickly.

Bonner’s first two offers came simultaneously last Wednesday, as the 2020 recruiting class was mostly put to bed on National Signing Day. First, Louisiana Tech offered. Just a few hours later, Bonner discovered he had a Virginia Tech offer. Earlier this week, Baylor became offer No. 3.  (Editor’s note: Houston also offered after this article was written.)

It’s been a lot to take in. Bonner has seen only one of those three schools, putting his recruitment in its early stages. However, he’s seen enough to form an opinion of his first two offers for sure, while he waits to see what comes next.
