Virginia Tech Focusing On Length At Defensive End

The Bill Teerlinck era is up and running in Blacksburg.  Considering all or most of his players are out of town on winter break, Teerlinck would have spent his first week in Blacksburg getting settled and finding housing, as well as familiarizing himself with Virginia Tech’s defensive line target board.

Teerlinck comes to Blacksburg from the NFL, which means he wasn’t recruiting anybody.  All 2021 prospects will be new names with him, and he’ll go into the process with a clean slate.  Together with Justin Hamilton and Virginia Tech’s recruiting staff, he’s in the process of identifying Tech’s top targets on the defensive line for the 2021 class.

A quick glance at Twitter shows which recruits Teerlinck has begun following since he was hired last week.  This is by no means a complete listing of the defensive linemen the Hokies will be targeting this year.  There is still plenty more evaluation and recruiting to do.  However, it’s a good baseline.  This article lists a couple of defensive tackles, but it is mainly focused on defensive ends.
